Alexis Smithey is a business owner, financial manager, and community leader running for Treasurer of Josephine County. She holds a bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in accounting and has spent years managing budgets, payroll, financial systems, and operational planning in both corporate and small business environments.

As the owner of a successful local small business, Alexis has been responsible for real-world financial oversight and responsible budgeting while navigating the challenges of running a business. She has also managed financial responsibilities in larger corporations, as well as nonprofit leadership, including overseeing budgets and accountability within the local youth baseball and softball league.

Alexis is currently in the process of selling her business in order to return to her professional roots in finance and pursue this role as her next career in public service. She is also continuing her education in accounting and finance, with plans to pursue advanced credentials such as a CPA or graduate-level studies.
